Happy Thanksgiving!

Well it has been a while since I have been on here, I seem to be running around like a chicken with my head cut off and don't remember to update my blog. Anyways I am super excited for Thanksgiving because AJ is off for 4 days and I will love every minute of it! My cousin Nikki, her husband, dad and kids are coming into town for 2 days which will be so much fun! I really miss all of them, they live in Utah, its an 8 hour drive so we dont get down there much. My pregnancy has been going great except for lots of contractions. My doctor gave me strict orders to slow down and told my family to watch me since I don't always understand what slow down means lol. AJ has been really good about watching me and telling me when I am doing too much, I need reminders. Dr. Perry also told me to call her instead of ignoring the contractions so we can get to the bottom of them, I have been able to time them which is not supposed to happen yet. I need to cook little Audrey much longer so she better stay in thru the holidays so that she is nice and baked and ready to come into this world of people who are so excited to see her!! hehe I had my baby shower with all of the people that I love, I'm such a lucky girl to have such wonderful people in my life! I will post pictures as soon as I upload them! Anyways, not much else has happened, Im just extremely excited for the holidays and hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Social Media

So this is a world where we all use social media to communicate and keep in touch with others. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I use it all the time (I'm blogging lol) but sometimes is can be a real problem. I do love facebook, but I don't think it should take the place of good old social interaction. I like facebook for the relatives and friends who have moved away, to watch their kids grow (because I know sending out mass emails of pictures to everyone all the time is not realistic, I still haven't uploaded pictures from the 4th of July lol.) I do however feel it shouldn't take place of actual interaction between people. When I was a kid, we didn't have texting or anything and as much as I text now (which is a ton) it was nice because we would not sit on our phones all the time and text. I try to limit my phone usage and put it down when others are talking to me, but I do admit it is hard. Overall, I just feel that I love facebook and blogging to use as another tool to keep in touch with friends and family but it shouldn't replace phone calls and visits. I am thinking of cleaning out my friends lists of people who take facebook to the level of our only interaction. Its not mean or anything, its just me saying, if you want to see how we are doing, then pick up the phone or answer when I call.. facebook makes it too easy to check in on people and then move on with their own lives.
